It was hot on this journey, 100 degrees and up, it went straight down when you got to the water line it was 40 degrees or lower, and muddy. On this trip there was hiking, white water rafting and higher ground. For spectacular views here’s a plus, you don’t have to wear helmets for any of it.

Grand Canyon Fast Facts
- * 277 miles long and about 4,000 feet deep
* Widest point 18 miles, deepest point 6,000 feet
* Canyon river started as two and joined together about 15 million years ago
* 2 billion year old rocks there and youngest rocks are about 230 million years old
They did not stay in tents at night, instead they soaked their shirts and put them on their chests and hopefully cached some Z’s. People use to live in the region they were called Anasazi and were an ancient pueblo culture. While white-water rafting, a point called Sockdolager, they had to pull over and make a game plan. The last part of the trip was a 7.5-mile hike out of the canyon (without boots) it was tough especially since you couldn’t go in the water to cool off and take a chill. They all said they had a blast.
