Please sign up at the link below to participate in Christmas Tree Sales.  Attendance is mandatory for all Boy Scouts.  In order to cover all the time slots, we need a scout with parent to cover at least 3 shifts. You will earn service time.  All money earned goes toward the support of the troop.

Troop 1 Halloween Party!

Welcome to a night of fright for all boy scouts in Troop 1! For our regularly scheduled meeting, Wednesday, October 27th at 7:00 p.m., please arrive in costume. We will have a contest for the best costume, games, entertainment, candy, pizza and prizes! Don’t miss out!

Popcorn 2010!

All scouts that attended the November 13th meeting received a popcorn order form.  Some of you may have received one in the mail a few weeks ago.  Popcorn orders have to be turned in by Monday, November 1.  Orders can be scanned in and emailed to Duane at dvna@frontier.com.  Popcorn orders can be filled and picked up anytime by contacting Duane at 732-4688.

                          Family and friends may start as soon as you get worksheet Wednesday October 6th

November 3rd   Last orders in - no more orders taken.  Turn in orders at meeting Wednesday, Nov 3rd.
                          Instructions:  Make master list of all your sales on an order form, copy it and return it to me

November 6th   Order wreaths from supplier

November 18th  Wreath arrival.  Parents and or scouts can pick up wreaths 7:00 pm (Thursday)

Additional Instructions:  If you feel you want to sell wreaths at the tree lot during your shift and want to order extras to do so, remember that you are responsible for the cost of what you order.

Check it Out! Merit Badge Tech 2010

Hello Scout Leaders and Families of the Scenic Trails Council,

Below is a link to information on Merit Badge Tech that went out at the Fall Camporee on October 2nd. The event is planned for Saturday, November 6th at the Career Tech Center in Traverse City. All registration for the event needs to be done online and is 99% mandatory. If you do not pre-register there may not be enough food for you, you may have to wait in a long line, and you may not get the classes you want.

We are doing away with Merit Badge Blue Cards at the event. All blue cards will be mailed to the Scoutmasters by November 12th within a week of the event. They will be made out electronically by the council from the registration information online and master records that the counselors will turn in at the end of the day.

Please make sure your Scouts are aware of this event and that they know how to register if they want to take part. Scouts can print out their schedules and room numbers online.

Also for new leaders or parents, make sure they are aware of the adult training we are offering that day. Below is a link to the flyer about those courses.

Last but not least, the Council Store will be open that day from 10am until 2pm, just around the corner (1 mile) from the Career Tech Center.
