Found: brown workboots at Hessel
Found: Scoutmaster has a pair of brown workboots that were left at Hessel. So if you are packing for the campout this weekend and can't find your boots they might be the ones I have.
Boy Scout Troop 1 Gaylord, Michigan is a member of the Scenic Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Our sponsoring organization is the Kiwanis Club of Gaylord. Troop 1 Gaylord meets every Wednesday at the Bagley Township Hall from 7:00 PM until approximately 8:30 PM. I'm super excited! It's another camping adventure! October 3-5 Troop 1 will be going to Shoepac Lake for a Karst Field trip and campout. What is Karst? Karst refers to a limestone region with many sinkholes, abrupt ridges, caverns, and disappearing and underground streams. Scouts will be given the opportunity to complete two merit badges Geology and Nature. We will do prerequisites for these merit badge this Wednesday and next Wednesday at our regularly scheduled meeting. Also if you are already working on the Fishing merit badge and need to catch a fish to complete the badge, here is an opportunity for you to do that. Scouts should bring fishing poles. One of the requirements for the Nature merit badge is two catch 2 species of fish. Scouts under 17, can fish without a license, but they are required to observe all fishing rules and regulations. Scouts over 18 and adults will need a fishing license.
We also need chaperones to camp and drivers to transport scouts! So far we have Scoutmaster and Mr & Mrs. Adams planning to attend. Please let Scoutmaster know ASAP if you can camp with us to help supervise our scouts or drive (or both).

We need a parent to volunteer to be the new Wreath Sales Chairperson. Currently Mr. Proux is the chairman, he has done much of the legwork for this season's sale. He'd like someone to learn about this very successful fundraiser and help our scouts make money for scout accounts. If you do not have a defined position in our troop, please consider being the Wreath Chairperson. Please comment here or let Mr. Proux or the scoutmaster know of your interest. We thank you for your consideration.
