Council Challenge to Troops and Packs

If anyone has any ideas or wants to participate in this just let me know.
Thanks - Mrs. Savory

FROM - Mark Ewing

The Council Golf Outing for Scouting is May 10th at Crystal Mountain.

Troop 125 in Cadillac has pledged $50 to be a cart sponsor for the event and
challenges other units to do the same.

The Golf Committee has decided that it will give a pizza party to the troop
or pack that comes up with the most cart sponsorship. If you know of any
business, family, or individual that would like to be a cart sponsor for $50
or a hole sponsor for $100 please let us know and get credit towards the
pizza party. Also we are looking for items for a silent auction at the
event. The unit that brings in the most donations will be the winner! So
far the all you have to beat is $50, so why not give it a try.

The golf flyer can be found on our website at www.stcbsa.org

Thanks for any help you can give this worthwhile event!

Sportsplex Lock-in

What a night!

Troop 1 hosted a very successful Sportsplex Lock-in. Over 250 scouts and 40 adult leaders had a great time bowling, swimming, ice skating playing games and winning door prizes.

Special thanks to all the adult leaders from other Troops who pitched in to help us get through the night.

The final report was that no piazzas, chips, or dough nuts survived the event.

If you have pictures, please email them to Troop 1.

Klondike Derby Belated Update

Congratulations to the Troop 1 Klondike derby patrol. A good time was had by all despite the temperature was below 10 degrees all day.

The patrol was six points shy of winning the derby and getting the privilege of hosting the event in 2007.

Pack 1 and Pack Webelos also had good showings. The fearless Oak Tree acted as the Pack 1 guide for the derby.

If anyone has pictures, email them to Troop 1 and they may get posted.
