Mowing Coordinators Round Up

We need adult volunteers to coordinate our best fund raising and service project for the Troop. For the summer months the Troop has been fortunate to be hired to maintain the cemetery mowing. We have three accounts Hayes, Resurrection(Vanderbilt), St. Mary. I need one adult per cemetery. The position requires the adult to keep up on the grass growth and schedule mowing's. The benefit is you get to schedule the mowing. The coordinator will need to call the mowing list to schedule enough mowers. If rained out a new date needs to be scheduled. The position is needed from mid May till mid September. Please contact Heather Parker if you can coordinate one of the cemeteries. cnatparker@yahoo.com

SportsPlex Lock-in Permission Forms

Troop 1 would like to use the new BSA Health and Permission Forms for our upcoming Sportsplex lock-in. The new forms are an effort to standardize the forms and information Troops request for outings. Use of the new forms becomes mandatory in 2010, earlier adoption is encouraged.

Please read the information provided on the first page of the new form. Part A and Part C are required for the lock-in and are the forms we will use for weekend outings. Part B will be required for events like summer camp and the NOAC convention.

Many parents will be able to complete and save Part A and Part C on their computers. Parents who need hard copies may request them at Troop meetings.

A link to the new form is included below. The forms are currently in a Portable Document Format (pdf) and require the free Adobe Reader to open and print. http://troop1.gaylord.googlepages.com/NewHealthForm2009.pdf

Portable Document Format (PDF) is a method of electronic distribution of publications created by Adobe Systems Inc. PDF files are compact and can be viewed or printed on any platform supported by the Adobe Reader.
