Camp Greilick - According to Mary
Camp Greilick is the most fun camp out. The climbing tower is 50feet high. The funiest thing was when Bobby and DJ made a bow and arrow and tried to shoot it. Bobby tried to make an arroow so big it didn't get finished.

Sea Base Florida Keys Adventure Final Quotes and Random Thoughts
My shoes are too tight.
Thanks for bringing coffee back to the bunk house every morning.
That’s what Doug thinks.
This was the best time ever.
We love you.
We have to go back in two years. The same crew just has to go back.
Though they are now memories, some memories last forever.
OVER….KURRRRCH!

Thursday June 22 – The Adventure Back to Gaylord
Morning flags for the last time. One last breakfast of scrambled eggs. Turning in all of our snorkeling gear to Zach. A final visit to the Ships Store.
The crew was not in a hurry but we did have a plane to catch. Zach drove us to Key West so we could pick up our rental car. We said our final good byes and we headed north to Ft. Lauderdale.
One final yell of MUNSON as we drove north past the Brinton Center.
One stop we had not made on our way to the Brinton Center was at “Robert is Here Fruit Stand”. 19200 S.W. 344th Street, Florida City Florida. http://www.robertishere.com/stand.htm
We stopped by Robert is Here Fruit Stand on our trip home and were not disappointed. We met Robert and he told us how his nephew’s Eagle Scout project was completed helping clean up after the last hurricane hit Florida City. Robert sliced and packaged fresh mango and pineapple for our crew and gave us all first class service. Robert is Here is on the road to the Everglades Alligator Farm and our crew would stop again. You should too.
The drive to Ft. Lauderdale on the Florida Turnpike went quickly and we were at the airport printing boarding passes with time to spare. We cleared security and agreed to get pizzas from a restaurant near our gate.
Our take off to Detroit was delayed because of thunder storms in the Detroit area. While in the air, our flight was placed in a holding pattern because of thunder storms in the Detroit area.
Once we had landed in Detroit we thought we were home free with time to spare for our flight to Saginaw. Unfortunately, our flight to Saginaw was cancelled because of the weather. Mrs. Schlak and Glen Schlak ( Eagle Scout, Troop 1) came to our rescue by driving to the Detroit airport to pick us up. We arrived back at the Neff’s house at about 6:00AM on Thursday morning.

Tuesday June 20 – Random Thoughts and Quotes From the Crew
Stop splashing so much!
Red…Red Mangrove (The Plant Song)
Do I look tanned?
I want some fresh fruit.
Barracuda! A BIG one.
I liked Frisbee on the beach!
I dropped my snorkel. Can you have one of the SCUBA guys get it?
Go long!
Get it before it floats away.
A three hour tour…
Hermit crabs are dangerous.
More hot babes at the beach.
I still miss my lawn.
Purple potatoes, purple tomatoes (Final Luau Song)
Hey Zach…
That was JOLLARIOUS!
Over…Kurrrch!

Tuesday June 20 – Luau Night
Luau night is the final night for all Crews attending a Keys Adventure or an Out Island Adventure. The night begins with closing flags but Luau crews are excused from Class A uniforms and allowed to wear Luau clothing.
The Luau is celebrated with games and a special meal prepared for Luau crews.
Our first game was a tug of war game. Crew members would go one on one standing on logs and pulling on ropes. There were several ways to win or lose at this tug of war. Our crew did well but did not win this contest. However, the log dance and rope waving that Mr. Schlak used to distract his competition was the talk of the event.
The next game was known as the Chair Game. It is something like Ring Around the Rosy, only you do not want to touch the chair in any way. Forrest was clearly king of the Chair Game winning two of the three contests.
Next came the limbo and Troop 1 was at its best. Mr. Neff was the last adult out and Kurtice took the limbo pole all the way down to the last peg. Very Impressive!
With the games over, we sat down to a fine Luau meal. The crab cakes, pork ribs, Mahi-Mahi, boiled potatoes, Caesar salad and Key Lime Pie were all good but they were no match for the feast the Iron Chefs prepared on BIG MUNSON ISLAND.
Skits followed and the crew shined again. Mr. Schlak summed it up best, “In sixteen years of seeing songs and skits performed by scouts, this crew’s enthusiasm and spirit was the best I have ever seen.”
Our Luau night ended with a final reflection – Roses, buds and thorns.
The roses and buds our crew had to share were all terrific and all you need to do is read the entries for our adventure to know that is true. We had to have thorns so the sweet, sweet smell of sargassum and the thunder storm taking an hour of snorkeling away from us were the only thorns.
