FALL CAMPOREE REMINDER

Fall Camporee is this weekend!

Troop 1 Scouts attending fall camporee must have their parents complete and sign a "Parent Medical and Trip Consent Form" and a "Waiver of Liability Adventure Tour - Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park" form.

These form will be available at the Wednesday Troop meeting and should be available online at the following links:

ST. MARY's FINAL 2008 MOWING DATE

The final mowing and clean up date for St. Mary's Cemetery will be Tuesday September 30. The rain date will be Thursday October 2.

EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT REMINDER

We will be staining, painting, building two wooden garbage cans and putting up signs.

Supplies needed: Gloves, Post hole digger, paint brushes and small containers for stain.

National Ski Patrol - Volunteers Needed

The National Ski Patrol needs youth volunteers for Saturday September 27, 2008 from 8:00AM to 2:30PM. Volunteers may come for the morning cession, the afternoon cession or both.

Youth will act as victims for National Ski Patrol first aide and EMS training. Ski Patrols from across Northern Michigan will participate in this training exercise.

Scouts that can not attend Caleb's Eagle Scout Project can earn community service hours by volunteering for the National Ski Patrol training.

2008 Fall Camporee

2008 Fall Camporee

When: October 3, 4 & 5
Cost: $10.00 per Adults & Boy scouts $5.00 per webelo scout
Where: Mackinaw Mill Creek campground (2 miles south of Mackinaw City)
Host: Troop 1240 Cheboygan


Welcome Campers and Scouts:

The Fall Camporee weekend is a time for discovering history, nature and having fun. Cheboygan
Troop 1240 is proud to invite you to a weekend of camping and adventure.

Upon arrival your troop will need to make sure they have the following prepared in advance for
registration.
1. Troop registration - number 0f scouts and parents
2. Waivers needed to be singed by parents for each scout and adult before arrival to insure
fast registration (Discovery Park requires waivers for use of zip line)
TROOPS:
1. ABSOLUTELY NO FIREWOOD IS TO BE BROUGHT!!!.
( Firewood will be provided at no cost to you)
2. Bring 10 GALS OF WATER . You can then refill at camp pump
3. MACKINAW MILL CREEK DISCOVERY PARK: (There is a gift shop)
4. Bring a day pack. You will need a sack lunch on Saturday, because you'll be having lunch at the Discovery Park. Bring work gloves for service project while at park.
5. This adventure is a 45 min hike from the camp. No open holed shoes or loose fitting shoes of any type. (This is required for zip line adventure)
