FIRST AID / CPR / AED Training Dates

Please mark your calendars for FIRST AID / CPR / AED training classes on Wednesday May 7 and Wednesday May 14. Each training class will run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The starting time is an hour earlier then our normal meeting start time.

All Scouts and adult leaders will benefit from these training classes. Scouts who plan to work on the First Aid, Emergency Preparedness, Life Saving and/or BSA Life Guard merit badge at summer camp will especially benefit from these training classes.

Sign-up sheets will be available at the next Troop Meeting.

Our week at summer camp has been changed to June 29 to July 5. Please make a note of this!

UPDATED ANNOUNCEMENT for PLC & COMMITTEE MEETINGS

The location of the PLC and Committee meeting has changed. Please not both meetings will be at WAGAR MOTORS. The Church meeting hall is not available on the 13th.

The next PLC and Troop Committee meeting will be Sunday April 13th at WAGAR MOTORS. The Scouts will meet at 6:00 pm and the Committee will meet at 7:00 pm.

Court of Honor on April 16th during the regular scout meeting at the church. Families should bring a dessert to share.

UPCOMING TROOP EVENTS

Hello to all Troop 1 Scouts and parents. Sign up sheets for the following events will be available at upcoming Troop meetings:

Spring Camporee - May 2nd - 4th at Harbor Springs Outdoors Club. The theme for this Camporee is shooting sports. The registration cost for the camporee is $10 and the host Troop has requested advance registration to allow for proper planning.

Pigeon River Outing - June 6th - 8th (tentative) The PLC will discuss this outing in more detail at their next meeting.

Summer Camp - July 6th - 12th Camp has requested that we confirm our numbers as soon as possible so please let the Troop know if you will be attending.

Please sign up at a Troop meeting or email Troop 1 to sign up or decline an event.

20 Blue Bird boxes were added to the 16 mile Blue Bird trail in Spar. Damaged boxes were removed and several post with boxes were improved with flashing to protect the nests.
