Troop 1 once again had the most visits to the camp first aid station. Troop 1 keeps life interesting for Josh.
Steven V. did his part this year by taking first aid to the next level. A visit to the hospital for a few stitches. That is certainly taking one for the team.

Troop 1 visited Troop 11's camp site to perform skits and were treated to Cobbler. Good deal guys.
Ryan Courtade (nickname with the Blue Angels is Itchy) was on staff when Carol Page was Program Director.
He is now the official photographerfor the Blue Angels. He was able to get some leave after the Blue Angels left when they were done with the flying at the Cherry Festival. As the photographerfor the Blue Angels, he took the picture that is on the posters hesigned.
Ryan was at Camp Monday night and cameback on Wednesday to see more people.
Camp Greilick is the most fun camp out. The climbing tower is 50feet high. The funiest thing was when Bobby and DJ made a bow and arrow and tried to shoot it. Bobby tried to make an arroow so big it didn't get finished.
Troop 1 Performs before meals to impress Nick and the staff to gain early entry to Besser. And...
Keeping everyone entertained, Troop 1 also Fiddles around during and after meals. Thanks for the lessons Ron.

Morning flags for the last time. One last breakfast of scrambled eggs. Turning in all of our snorkeling gear to Zach. A final visit to the Ships Store.
The crew was not in a hurry but we did have a plane to catch. Zach drove us to Key West so we could pick up our rental car. We said our final good byes and we headed north to Ft. Lauderdale.

Luau night is the final night for all Crews attending a Keys Adventure or an Out Island Adventure. The night begins with closing flags but Luau crews are excused from Class A uniforms and allowed to wear Luau clothing.
The Luau is celebrated with games and a special meal prepared for Luau crews.
Our first game was a tug of war game. Crew members would go one on one standing on logs and pulling on ropes. There were several ways to win or lose at this tug of war. Our crew did well but did not win this contest. However, the log dance and rope waving that Mr. Schlak used to distract his competition was the talk of the event.
The next game was known as the Chair Game. It is something like Ring Around the Rosy, only you do not want to touch the chair in any way. Forrest was clearly king of the Chair Game winning two of the three contests.
Next came the limbo and Troop 1 was at its best. Mr. Neff was the last adult out and Kurtice took the limbo pole all the way down to the last peg. Very Impressive!
With the games over, we sat down to a fine Luau meal. The crab cakes, pork ribs, Mahi-Mahi, boiled potatoes, Caesar salad and Key Lime Pie were all good but they were no match for the feast the Iron Chefs prepared on BIG MUNSON ISLAND.
Skits followed and the crew shined again. Mr. Schlak summed it up best, “In sixteen years of seeing songs and skits performed by scouts, this crew’s enthusiasm and spirit was the best I have ever seen.”
Our Luau night ended with a final reflection – Roses, buds and thorns.
The roses and buds our crew had to share were all terrific and all you need to do is read the entries for our adventure to know that is true. We had to have thorns so the sweet, sweet smell of sargassum and the thunder storm taking an hour of snorkeling away from us were the only thorns.
